FREE TO ATTEND

Bushwakker's annual Regina Women in Song event proved to be so popular this past spring that they have a fall edition, one which expands beyond our Regina borders. On November 4 singer-songwriters Megan Nash (Palmer, SK), Kara Golemba (Indian Head, SK) and Roxie Lenton (Regina, SK) will share some original music in this special edition of Wednesday Night Folk.

MEGAN NASH: “There’s injury and an-open, perversely inviting sadness that reminds one of Elliot Smith. She has a Canadian charm, not unlike Serena Ryder. She has an audacious femininity, like Martha Wainwright. Her songs have some groove and northern darkness, kind of like Sondre Lerche.” - Assiniboia Times

KARA GOLEMBA: A Canadian singer/songwriter from BC who has followed her roots back to the Canadian Prairies, Kara Golemba has been described as having a 'gift of storytelling through song', and uses a unique blend of soulful folk and country music as her platform to share her stories.

ROXIE LENTON: Roxie Lenton’s lyric-driven country infused pop/folk music reflects an eclectic taste that crosses over the increasingly blurred boundaries of musical genres and styles. Her sultry voice, piano-based musical arrangements and the raw emotion in her performance are guaranteed to take you on a musical journey.
